EC Compliance referenced in a review of compliance and GRC solutions

In a recent issue, the Revue des Directions Juridiques published an in-depth review of compliance and governance, risk and compliance (GRC) solutions available to companies. The publication provides an overview of tools designed to help organizations structure regulatory compliance in an increasingly complex legal environment, particularly in the area of export control.

Within this analysis, EC Compliance was referenced as a specialized player in the digitalization of export control processes. The article highlights the challenges faced by French and European companies operating under multiple sanctions regimes and subject to the extraterritorial application of certain regulations, notably U.S. EAR and ITAR rules.

In this context, Marc Zarnowiecki, CEO of EC Compliance, notes that a significant proportion of export control managers’ tasks can now be structured and automated through digital tools. Such approaches aim to improve process reliability, reduce operational delays and mitigate compliance risks, while enhancing teams’ ability to manage regulatory obligations effectively.

The article also emphasizes the growing interest from legal and compliance departments in solutions capable of centralizing regulatory data, ensuring decision traceability and securing sensitive export flows. As regulatory pressure continues to intensify, digitalization is increasingly viewed as a key driver of governance, operational agility and risk control.

This review was conducted with the contribution of Village de la Justice, a platform dedicated to sharing legal and compliance insights with professionals across the legal and regulatory landscape.
